At a time when mental health is a growing priority for healthcare systems around the world, collaboration matters more than ever. That was the focus of last week’s Dangoor Health‑Tech Academy delegation to London and Cambridge which brought eight Israeli mental‑health startups to the UK.
The delegation, led by Ronit Applebaum, Health‑Tech Lead at the UK‑Israel Tech Hub at the British Embassy in Israel, with the support of Dangoor Education, was originally scheduled for March but postponed due to the ongoing war. Despite the challenges, the team remained committed – making the delegation’s delivery last week particularly meaningful.
The Academy reflects both the growing importance of mental health within UK healthcare and the UK’s strong commitment to encouraging collaboration between innovators and the health ecosystem, while supporting the development of scalable mental‑health technologies that can reach and support millions of people.
Across three days, we saw first‑hand the strength and diversity of Israeli mental‑health innovation. The startups presented solutions ranging from clinician and patient support tools to biofeedback technologies, neurostimulation, and data‑driven care models – all focused on improving outcomes in mental health.
The Dangoor Health‑Tech Academy aims to turn innovation into impact by helping founders navigate the UK healthcare system and build practical, long‑term partnerships.
The programme included meetings with NHS trusts, healthcare organisations and investors, alongside a UK‑Israel reception at the House of Lords, highlighting the value of sustained collaboration between our two countries.
By connecting innovators across the UK and Israel, we are helping to deliver meaningful solutions that support mental health and improve care for individuals and communities.
