New technologies are revolutionising our world and the UK has set itself the goal of becoming a science and tech superpower by 2030. To achieve this, the government identified 5 emerging technologies that are changing our world: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Technologies, Engineering Biology, Semiconductors and Future Telecoms with Data as a crucial enabler.

The government is prioritising the development and implementation of these technologies with a big emphasis on international collaboration with like-minded nations to promote the open, responsible, secure, and resilient development and use of technology.

Israel’s tech capabilities in these emerging technologies can lead to extensive collaboration between both countries; From collaborative efforts in AI that could revolutionise the healthcare sector to collaboration in the early stage of quantum technologies. The Tech Hub’s emerging technologies activities align with the UK’s International Tech Strategy that sets out how the United Kingdom will work with our allies and partners to ensure global technology standards are shaped by the free world.
